Premiere of Prototype City São Paulo Film Free access.

Prototype City is an architectural exchange program offered by the British Council focused on international collaboration to test new ideas around the world. In the Prototype City São Paulo – a partnership between the British Council and IABsp, with support from Alana Institute’s Urbanizar Project – a prototype will be developed based on the methodology of the CoCriança collective that coordinates co-creation with children from the neighborhood and with the British firm Intervention Architecture x Co/Lab.

Alessandro Columbano Architect of the Prototype City program. He is a Senior Lecturer and Course Director for the MArch Architecture (RIBA pt.2) programme at the Birmingham School of Architecture and Design. He co-established and leads the Co\\aborative Lab:oratory (Co.LAB) an award winning inter-disciplinary design-research initiative within the school that integrates teaching with creative practices through live projects. Alessandro has worked in architecture practices in Manchester and London focusing on residential  and restoration of prestigious heritage buildings, with further experience in evidence-based design at Space Syntax. As anviere, a design guise, he has developed a portfolio of site-specific installations, gallery designs, architecture structures and art direction for stage sets, productions or short films… commenting on the subversive qualities of our physical environments.

 

Anna Parker Architect of the Prototype City program. She is the founding Director of Intervention Architecture, a RIBA chartered Architect leading the studio and team in Birmingham. Working with local artists and arts organizations, Anna has developed an interdisciplinary way of working which provides a cohesive design approach for projects, working across fields of design, interiors, furniture, temporary structures, exhibitions, events, lighting, homes, and mixed-use developments. Anna has been shortlisted for; UK Construction Week Role Model; a national RIBA ‘Rising Star’; the Birmingham Post ‘Business Entrepreneur of the Year’, listed within the ‘Midlands top 50 Entrepreneurs’ (Insider), and was nominated as a finalist for Birmingham’s Young Professional of the Year. Intervention Architecture has recently won a RIBA Award for Honey and Walnut House, and been featured on Dezeen, Grand Designs and Elle Decoration.

 

Andrea Amato Architect and urban planner graduated from FAUUSP, she is the Executive Director of Associação CoCriança. She is a children’s music educator at Escola Artmanhas do Som, bioconstructor and permaculturist through PermaSampa, and facilitator through the Germinar Program. Bruna Almeida Coordinator of the project Prototype City São Paulo (IABsp), she is an architect by USJT, 2019. Monitored the plans and works of Itaim Paulista as scientific initiation research, 2017. Participates in the Itaim Paulista Laboratory, 2016. Master’s student in the research line of Urban Space Management at PGAUR USJT, 2022. Performed technical assistance to MCMV-E program borrowers, 2021. Cooperative architect at ArqCoop+

 

Camila Audrey Architect and urban planner graduated from USP, she is currently taking a specialization course in Social Project management for the 3rd sector at PUC-SP. She has worked as an architect creating play spaces at LAO Design and Erê Lab. She is cofounder and Project Director of Associação CoCriança. Architect of the Prototype City program. (CoCriança).

 

Danilo Hideki Architect graduated from FAUUSP in 2009, he worked until 2010 with Prof. Dr. Helena Ayoub. In 2011 he worked with social interest housing alongside architects Eduardo Ferroni, Pablo Hereñu and Marcos Acayaba. From 2012 to 2018 he worked in the office of architect Isay Weinfeld. He currently works in his own office and is Director of Institutional Relations for IABsp.

 

Laís Avelino Architect and urban planner from USJT and community organizer at Jardim Pantanal.

 

Leila Vendrametto Geographer and communicologist from PUCSP, specialist in Ecology, Art and Sustainability from UNESP and doctoral candidate in Environmental Science at PROCAM/ IEE/ USP. She is coordinator of the Urbanizar project at Instiuto Alana. She is also co-founder of Organicidade – Education and Socio-Environmental Communication, councilor of the Municipal Council for Environment and Sustainable Development (CADES Pinheiros) – biennium 2018 to 2020 and 2021 to 2023, councilor of the Advisory Board of the Várzea do rio Tietê APA (CCAPAVRT) – biennium 2018 to 2020 and 2020 to 2022 and coordinator of the Technical Chamber of Environmental Education in CCAPAVRT.
