International Open Call for Exhibitions and Activities

To explore concrete paths of transformation, the Biennale is structured into different programming modalities. In this call, specifically, proposals will be accepted for:

Exhibition
Exhibition of projects and plans, whether implemented or not, to be displayed on vertical panels, tables, or the floor using drawings, models, audiovisuals, texts, and other compatible media.

Experimental constructions and installations that utilize low-carbon materials and construction systems, to be presented inside or around Oca. These must be disassembled after the event.

Audiovisuals, films, and photographs to be displayed in the exhibition on vertical panels, tables, floors, or projections.

Activities
Workshops: Hands-on activities or work sessions held during the 14th BIAsp, involving pre-defined groups or open registration participants. Main outputs may be presented at Oca.

Labs: Similar to workshops but linked to ongoing academic research. Main outputs may be presented at Oca.

Performances: Live experiences combining visual, physical, spatial, and temporal elements, incorporating theater, dance, music, and visual arts.

Situated Actions: Activities designed to engage directly with the territory, taking place before and during the Biennale in various locations to foster active interaction with urban and social contexts.

We will soon have the results of the category facilities of the call for activities. The work is being evaluated for approval by the responsible bodies.

The International Open Call for Exhibition and Activities received over 450 entries from around the world. From these entries, the curatorial team selected 87 works for the exhibition and 45 for the activities, totaling 132 works that will be featured in the 14th São Paulo International Architecture Biennial at Oca, in Ibirapuera Park, starting September 18th.

This selection does not imply approval of the proposals and size of the content presented, which depend on the final configuration of the expographic project of the 14th BIAsp.
